We asked for your opinion and you answered – thank you!

One of the main things we found from the survey we sent out is that families with little ones especially would like to have a bit more choice in the meals they get from dinnerlicious! To that effect we are introducing a one-month test period to see if it is something we should make a permanent feature.

This is how it will work:

Starting with the menu for the week of April 20 there will be 6 meals; A B and C are the “set menu” if you want to keep things the way they were and not have to worry about a thing! D E and F are the additional options for the “mix & match” option, and the plan is that they will change monthly. If you go for the set menu, you will automatically get the ingredients and recipes for meals A, B and C. If you choose mix & match, you can choose between all 6 during the order process.

This will be a test period so we very much welcome any feedback you have!

Please also note that effective 9 April 2015, our prices will increase slightly due to increased operating costs:

Large 1-time order: $95/order

Large subscription: $90/order

Small 1-time order: $56/order

Small subscription: $53/order

If you get our newsletter you know that dinnerlicious! will be taking a short break during the weeks of 12 and 19 August. A move is in the works!   While we’re away, I will post a few recipes on our blog for you to enjoy, and we will have some wonderful meals ready for you when we get back on the 26th!

One of these meals will be a delicious Watermelon Quinoa Salad with Teal’s Sausages! Teal’s Meats is a wonderful family-run meat producer in Sprinvale, just outside Hagersville.

Teal’s Meat

We had the pleasure of visiting the wonderful couple that own and run this butcher shop, Mark and Anna, and their 2 adorable daughters earlier this summer. Anna took us on a tour around their farm and production facilities and shared with us her love for what she does. Teal’s has been producing quality meat products since 1915, and only uses locally raised meats and pure spices. Their sausages are filler and preservative free, and delicious!

If you order a dinnerlicious! delivery for August 12 you will get to enjoy some of Teal’s hot sausages in one of your meals. You can also visit Mark at the Ottawa St Farmer’s Market every Saturday, the Ancaster Farmer’s Market every Wednesday afternoon until October, or you can visit them at their farm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays!

Thanks again Anna and Mark for spending time with us and showing us around the farm!
